Photography, Reflection
& Critical Thinking

Recent Observations

I capture and reflect on moments, always drawn to the human connections within them and the details that let me look more closely at the world. Documentary in nature, my work is candid, respectful, and shaped by observation. I’m drawn to the moments in between — the ones often overlooked or taken for granted in the everyday. None of them are actively staged; they’re an honest reflection of life as I experience it.

This space serves as an exhibit of how I see things — and through it, you get a glimpse of that perspective too.

A Little About Me

I’ve always been drawn to observing how people move through the world, how animals behave, and how small moments unfold when no one thinks they’re being watched. Photography became a natural extension of that: not something I set out to master, but a way of paying attention. At its core, my work is documentary — a record of where I end up, the people I encounter, and the fleeting details that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

Being neurodivergent shapes how I see the world: the patterns, the subtle shifts in behaviour, and the details others might miss. That same way of seeing runs through everything I do — from photographing street scenes and cultural events to how I explore communication, reasoning, and human behaviour. Whether I’m behind a camera or writing, my focus is on clarity, curiosity, and the human side of how we understand the world.

My professional background spans two decades in technical roles within the UK construction industry, where I’ve focused on detail, communication, and evidence-based reasoning. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr FCMI) with a degree in Forensic Science (BSc) and a former Fellow of the Institute of Roofing, which was incorporated into the Chartered Institute of Building. My interest in evidence and analysis has always shaped how I approach both work and creative projects.

That same curiosity led me to run a not-for-profit organisation that promoted science and critical thinking, collaborating with researchers and universities, and hosting public events to make complex ideas more accessible. Those experiences continue to shape my writing: reflections on how we think, communicate, and make sense of what we see.
